April 2011
My Favourite Things Of April:
- The Anita Blake vampire hunter series, by Laurell K.Hamilton. I am aware that the series was started years and years ago but I've only just found them. A friend of mine lent me the first 3 books, Guilty Pleasures, The Laughing Corpse and Circus Of The Damned after lending me the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) series that i really liked. I found the first three a little boring but after sticking it out i was... obsessed? Maybe not in the way I obsessed over Sookie Stackhouse (Especially Eric) but I found Burnt Offerings, Danse Macabre, The Harlequin and Skin Trade were my favourites. I loved the characters Jean-Claude, Nathaniel and Edward. So now Im coming to the end, Bullet which Im enjoying but putting off because I don't want it to end! I got an email from Mighty Ape about a new Anita Blake, Sookie Stackhouse and Cassandra Clare City book so I'm looking out for them. Heres my current book pile (: without the other Anita Blake Books.

- Lara Jade Coton. Her Phobia series and LAX project she did with Luc. Shes a pretty well known fashion/portrait photographer, started her own business at 17. Shes amazing, she influences my own work in so many ways. Google that shit. Do It.
- Some other photographers I found through some school research (constant googling and sifting through random blogs), Miles Aldridge who is well known but Im behind the times i guess and Iain Crawford, a conceptual photographer.
- Portrait sketching. Im currently in the middle of a Adrianna Lima sketch and a wolverine sketch for my dad (i'll post both up when i finish) I was really into self-portrait and Portraits last year, i based my portfolio on my self (not by choice, but i came to enjoy it as i got better) and Lady Gaga. Here are some of the works that got me re-inspired. Also the images are my from my 365 Days Facebook upload. My favourites from late March, early April.
